Privacy, in plain English.

We collect just what's needed to run a school transport service: children's first name and class; parent contact details and home stop; driver profile and licence; bus location during route hours; boarding, alighting and drop-off photos.

We do not collect bus location outside route hours. We do not collect parents' or drivers' device sensors. We do not have an advertising SDK in any of our apps.

Parents see their own child's events. Drivers see their own assigned manifest. Schools see the data of children enrolled at that school. No one else sees anything, including us — backups are encrypted at rest.

Drop-off photos are stored encrypted, retained for 90 days by default, and visible only to the family and the school. Parents can request earlier deletion at any time by emailingprivacy@safirikids.com.

Children under 13 do not have accounts. All data about a child is held under a parent or school account. Schools authorise sharing with the parent at enrolment.

Servers are in Frankfurt and Cape Town. We replicate within Africa where legally allowed. We comply with the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019, and the Children Act, 2022.

You can ask for an export of everything we hold, or its full deletion, at any time. We respond within 14 days.
